In 2007, David and Chelsea had one thing in common – weekly prayer meetings at the Rock of Roseville.

Standing across the room from each other, they saw each other every week for a year but never exchanged a single ‘hello.’

One day in late summer 2008, David looked over at Chelsea and decided he had to do something.

It wasn’t long before he was sitting in a pastor’s office, asking what to do. After getting the go-ahead from the pastor, he approached Chelsea’s father.

A week later, David and Chelsea had their first conversation at Peets’ Coffee.

Coffee soon turned into lunch, and before they knew it, five hours had passed!

As their relationship progressed, they continued to meet for coffee and hang out with each other’s families.

On Valentine’s Day 2009, David told Chelsea he loved her and asked her to marry him. She said yes.
