How the time flies!
Hello friends!

The last time we reached out to you the year was 2010, we had just relocated back to California, and Chelsea was very pregnant. Well, throw about 6 months in there, several holidays, a few birthdays (including a real one), and a Happy New Year and here we are!
It's been a wild, wild ride transitioning back to California. While it has been nothing short of challenging, we can look back with confidence and peace knowing "He who started the good work will be faithful to complete it." Jesus, Mighty in Strength and Power, was SO Faithful to us in providing during nearly 6 months of unemployment, a rather intense childbirth, the death of two of David's Grandparents, and more. There is not enough time to completely rehash everything, nor do we want to, but we just want you to know where we are now in our lives and specifically in regards to ministry.
David has had some interesting insight into what the next steps are for ministry. While he still believes the Lord will use his testimony to touch this generation, he feels strongly that he is not to move the original "heart-pull", reaching out to men stuck in the gay porn industry, to the wayside.
While it would certainly be more comfortable and socially convenient to cast this burden aside, that is rarely the nature of Missional Call of Christ in His disciples lives. Did He not say go? Did He not say "the broken-hearted?" Did He not come for the sick rather than the healthy? Is He not the Risen Savior, the Living Son of the Most High God? If so, if all of this and more is true of Him and His mandates - both personally and corporately - do we even have a choice but to obey? As David's mother adequately puts it, "I can say 'no' to Jesus, but I can't say 'no' to my Lord." Jesus IS Lord, therefore, we have to obey.
Right now David is focusing his efforts on starting something simple and doable. A website that will succinctly reach out to the imprisoned soul crying for release. He is not planning something super flashy right now, but more seeking to post testimonies of hope, truths of the Word, and resources for these trapped men to find release from their physical and spiritual prison. David has really been struggling for initial vision with this so please pray that the pieces and picture comes together clearly for him as he steps out in faith. Please also diligently pray for protection. We, as a family, desperately need it. The enemy is a thief and a liar and we should never forget that.
On some personal business, we are celebrating almost 4 months since the birth of Grace. Since words really cannot describe the blessing she is to us, we hope those pictures will help describe it better :). David is enjoying his new job/career with Larkspur Hotels & Restaurants. He is currently the Sales & Catering Coordinator at the Larkspur Landing in Roseville. It's amazing how the Lord graciously provided this job right when hope was starting to slip away. He LOVES going to work everyday, which is a praise in and of itself, he is appreciated for what he brings to the table, and is challenged to grow on a daily basis. Praise the Lord for this rich reward!
Financially, we are now on track to be self-sustaining towards the end of this year. If it were not for the more than gracious love and welfare of Chelsea's parents, Jon and Kelli, we certainly would have been in a much different place and a world of hurt. Thank you Jon and Kelli for being a covering for us during this time.
Thank you again for partnership in Faith and Friendship. We look forward to the unfolding of this year with Joy and Peace, knowing that He - always - is in Control.
We love you and bless you in Jesus Name!

…Ministry. Both Josh and David have really sought the Lord about what the future of ministry is to look like, specifically will it be part-time or full-time? Thankfully, while in Oceanside for family vacation, David got the chance to meet with Paul Webster who works for
